About.

Hey there, nutrition enthusiasts and fellow adventurers! Welcome to my little corner on the internet where we turn kale into confetti and sprinkle some nutritional wisdom on life’s delicious journey!

My name is Romy Scoggins, your friendly registered dietitian with a sprinkle of Texas charm and a whole lot of Dutch flair. Yep, that’s right - I’m a Dutch gal who traded in my clogs for cowboy boots and landed in the heart of Texas.

But how did I end up here, you ask? Well, let me take you on a little journey through my wonderful world of nutrition and adventure!

Born and raised in the Netherlands, I developed a passion for cooking, baking, healthy foods, and helping others. After earning my bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics back in the tulip-filled land of windmills, bicycles, cheese, and stroopwafels, I embarked on a whirlwind of experiences that eventually led me across the pond to the Lone Star State.

I currently work as a full-time clinical dietitian here in Texas, where I have the privilege of working with incredible individuals from all walks of life, guiding them on their path to better health one delicious meal at a time.

But how did I end up in Texas you say? Remember that little thing called fate? Well, it led me to a research center at A&M, in a town where I not only honed my skills, but also met the love of my life - my now hubby, who’s the ying to my yang, the peanut butter to my jelly, and the avocado to my toast.

Before landing in the Lone Star State, I dipped my toes into the fascinating world of bariatrics during a dietetic internship at a bariatric center of a hospital in the Netherlands. It was there that I fell head over boots for the field of bariatrics, realizing that helping individuals on their weight loss journeys was not just a job, but a calling.

And now? Well, now I’m living the dream - balancing life as a full-time dietitian, proud mom to four fabulous, feathered friends (yep, your read that right - parrots!), and embarking on this exciting adventure of setting up my own bariatric-focused business.

So, whether you’re looking to shed a few pounds, improve your relationship with food, or simply navigate the wild world of nutrition, I’m here to be your guide, your cheerleader, and your partner in health.

Let’s embark on this delicious journey together, shall we?
